Jenny Han Books in Order
Jenny Han is the novelist who built the modern YA romance template twice: To All the Boys I've Loved Before (2014), the love-letters-that-get-mailed trilogy, became Netflix's flagship young-adult film series and made Lana Condor's Lara Jean a generation's heroine; The Summer I Turned Pretty (2009), her earlier triangle-of-brothers trilogy, became Amazon's summer flagship a decade later and turned its three seasons into an annual event. Between and around them: Shug, her debut, and the Burn for Burn trilogy co-written with Siobhan Vivian. Han's shelf is small, ordered, and television-shaped - and in 2025 the show did something the books didn't: ran past the trilogy and wrote a new ending, which this page tracks. All three series and the standalones, sequenced (2006–present).
Where to start
To All the Boys I've Loved Before (2014) - the most common door, and a complete trilogy. Readers arriving from the Amazon show: The Summer I Turned Pretty (2009), book one of the trilogy the three seasons adapt (and then depart from).

Does the reading order matter?
Three trilogies, each strict: The Summer I Turned Pretty (2009), It's Not Summer Without You (2010), We'll Always Have Summer (2011) - one love triangle, one ending; its own page here covers the details and the show's departure. To All the Boys I've Loved Before (2014), P.S. I Still Love You (2015), Always and Forever, Lara Jean (2017) - the letters trilogy, then the Netflix films. Burn for Burn (2012), Fire with Fire (2013), Ashes to Ashes (2014) with Siobhan Vivian - the revenge trilogy. Shug (2006) is the standalone debut; Clara Lee and Good Luck (2011) is the middle-grade one. Nothing new has been announced - the 2025-26 releases are deluxe editions of the existing books, and the new Summer story lives in the television finale, not a fourth novel.
Which one is the best?
To All the Boys I've Loved Before (2014), the modern classic; The Summer I Turned Pretty (2009), the triangle that launched a thousand teams; P.S. I Still Love You (2015), the middle that respects both boys.
